After Singen-based PAWI Packaging GmbH, part of the PAWI Group, won gold at the European Carton Excellence Award in October with its face mask, PAWI Verpackungen AG has now also been nominated for the Swiss Packaging Award in the Technology category with its sophisticated chocolate packaging for the Läderach-based company Unusual times lead to unusual transfers. The coveted certificate was accepted directly at the company's headquarters in Winterthur instead of at a side event at Empack2020 in Zurich. This is a very special experience, said CEO Andreas Keller when he received the certificate from the president of the Swiss Packaging Institute SVI, Philippe Dubois - and he sees this honour as motivation to continue to create innovative and high-quality packaging with passion.
Every year, the Swiss Packaging Institute honours outstanding achievements in the packaging industry with the Swiss Packaging Award. A total of 41 packaging solutions were submitted by 26 different participants.
The aim of the competition is to showcase the creativity and innovative strength of the Swiss packaging industry. A maximum of three packaging solutions were nominated per category, one of which is chosen as the winner. PAWI is among the nominees in the technology category.
Packaging of all materials is eligible for the competition. The focus is on the promotion and award of holistic packaging solutions, regardless of the packaging material.
PAWI Verpackungen has submitted the "Limited Edition" packaging from Läderach (Switzerland) AG for the Swiss Packaging Award.
The challenge was to develop a packaging with which various products such as pralines, fresh chocolate and mini mousses can be packed. The contents and the insert should be visible through a window. To ensure sustainability, the inlay should be plastic-free. PAWI solved this task with a PAWI Ecoflex insert made of cardboard and parchment. This clever design allows maximum flexibility when filling products of different shapes and sizes.
The advantages of the PAWI Ecoflex insert at a glance:
- Made of cardboard and paper
- Recyclable
- Possible combinations
- Flexibility with the filling material
- Underlines the value of the product
This year, the Swiss Packaging Prize will be awarded for the 51st time.
We focus on packaging and everything it requires: ideas, designs, production expertise and efficient logistics right up to the end customer.
