Another Step Toward Sustainable Logistics: PAWI Introduces Its First Fully Electric Truck
We are taking an important step toward sustainable logistics: this year, our first fully electric truck, a Mercedes-Benz eActros, has joined our fleet in Winterthur. With this investment, we are consciously investing in a low-emission future and actively advancing electric mobility within our company.
The fully electric truck replaces a conventional diesel vehicle on defined routes and is charged with electricity from renewable sources in Winterthur. As a result, this initiative makes a tangible contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions and improving air quality, while supporting more sustainable logistics operations.
The first eActros represents a deliberate step towards sustainable logistics. It shows that we don’t just talk about responsibility—we live it. With clear goals, genuine conviction, and a focus on the future of our company.

Moreover, operating the electric truck daily allows us to collect valuable insights into range, charging behavior, efficiency, and everyday usability. These learnings will help us strategically electrify additional fleet routes. Although the initial investment is higher, the electric truck proves its long-term value: lower energy costs, quieter operation, and reduced environmental impact speak for themselves.

Driving Sustainable Logistics Forward
Deploying this electric truck enables us to gain hands-on experience in sustainable logistics, supporting a gradual transition to an electric fleet. At the same time, it directly contributes to cleaner air, lower CO₂ emissions, and quieter urban environments —further proof that sustainability is actively practised at PAWI.
