Another Step Toward Sustainable Logistics: PAWI Introduces Its First Fully Electric Truck
We are taking a major step towards sustainable mobility: this year, our first fully electric truck, a Mercedes-Benz eActros, has joined our fleet in Winterthur. With this investment, we are consciously committing to a low-emission future and actively promoting electric mobility within our company.
The electric truck replaces a conventional diesel vehicle on defined routes and is charged with electricity from renewable sources in Winterthur. This makes a tangible contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions and improving air quality.
The first eActros represents a deliberate step towards sustainable mobility. It shows that we don’t just talk about responsibility—we live it. With clear goals, genuine conviction, and a focus on the future of our company.

By operating the fully electric truck daily, we gain valuable experience in range, charging behaviour, efficiency, and practical application. These insights will help us strategically advance the electrification of additional fleet routes. Despite higher upfront costs, an electric truck proves its value over time: lower energy costs, quieter operation, and reduced environmental impact speak for themselves.
Key Facts About the eActros at PAWI:
~300 kWh
Battery capacity
~350–500 km

CO₂ savings (depending on the route)
Deploying this fully electric truck allows us to gain crucial practical experience, enabling a gradual transition to an electric fleet. At the same time, we make a direct contribution to cleaner air, lower CO₂ emissions, and quieter urban environments—further proof that sustainability is actively practised at PAWI.
