PAWI Packaging Schweiz AG wins the Swiss Packaging Award 2024 in the “Design” category

With this award-winning packaging, PAWI demonstrates how high-quality packaging design, functionality and sustainability can be successfully combined. Especially in the premium segment, packaging plays a decisive role in brand perception. Therefore, both material selection and processing must meet particularly high requirements. As a result, not only the visual appearance but also technical feasibility and environmental compatibility are key factors in the development process.

High-quality packaging design with sustainable materials

The “Royal Edition” packaging stands out thanks to the combination of premium appearance and environmentally friendly materials. PAWI uses FSC®-certified virgin fibre board, which is processed completely without plastic. This results in a sustainable packaging solution that at the same time meets the high quality expectations of the premium segment.

In addition, the sophisticated finishing underlines the exclusive character of the packaging. The black dyed board is combined with glossy black hot foil stamping, creating an elegant tone-on-tone effect. Furthermore, a gold-embossed band provides a strong visual contrast, while the carefully designed cover with matt-gloss effect enhances the premium look.

Construction and functionality for premium product presentation

The construction also contributes to the distinctive appearance. The integrated drawer solution allows a stylish presentation of the individually rolled and hand-wrapped Gottlieber wafers. Using a satin ribbon, the packaging can be opened comfortably, which further enhances the premium user experience.

Such sophisticated packaging concepts demonstrate the importance of close cooperation between brand owner and packaging manufacturer. Only the combination of design, engineering and production results in packaging that is both functional and visually convincing.
