Together with BERNINA, we have developed a modular solution that combines ecological responsibility with economic efficiency. Through this partnership, an innovative concept emerged that combines sustainability with optimised logistics and significantly reduces material usage.

BERNINA faced a complex logistical challenge due to its wide range of insert sizes. Previously, almost every insert required a separate outer packaging. The goal was to reduce the number of packaging variants, replace plastic inserts, and maintain product protection at the same time.

The solution is a modular system based on a few standardised carton sizes and inserts, all made from the same type of cardboard. As a result, the company has dramatically reduced the number of outer packagings and completely eliminated plastic inserts.

Using uniform cardboard for both inserts and outer packaging simplifies procurement, increases production efficiency, and ensures a consistent, high-quality appearance that reflects BERNINA’s standards. Moreover, the reduced material use generates less waste and actively supports the conservation of natural resources.
