Refined gift packaging for Samarité Originals
For the Samarité Originals skincare brand, a high-quality cosmetic packaging solution was developed for a gift set. The paperboard packaging combines a well-designed structure, expressive graphics and premium finishing. This results in a strong shelf presence at the point of sale and creates a high-quality unboxing experience.
Packaging as part of brand communication
This premium cosmetic packaging for Samarité Originals was developed as gift packaging for a skincare set. The structural concept was created by the client, while we optimised the construction for paperboard production as well as for the technical requirements of printing and finishing.
The graphic design is based on a detailed illustration of a decorative bowl symbolising a skincare ritual. This motif introduces the customer to the Samarité brand world and creates a visual story around the product. When the box is opened, this story continues through internal printing and text, guiding the user into a premium skincare experience.
In addition to protecting the product, the packaging plays a central role in brand communication. It supports the positioning of the brand and helps to differentiate the product effectively at the point of sale.
Colour concept and visual design
A deep tone between blue and violet was combined with gold graphic and typographic elements, including the Samarité brand symbol. The strong colour contrast enhances the premium appearance of the packaging and ensures clear brand recognition on the shelf.
At the same time, special attention was given to the visual consistency between the packaging and the cosmetic products inside. Packaging and product follow the same colour scheme with gold accents, creating a consistent brand appearance across the entire set.
Such a consistent design is especially important for premium cosmetic packaging, as packaging and product together define the brand image and emphasise the value of the product.
Printing technology and finishing
To reproduce the illustration precisely, a print configuration with eight base colours and two additional spot colours was used. This allows high colour depth and very fine detail reproduction, which is required for premium cosmetic packaging.
On the front side, a soft-touch coating creates a velvety matte surface with a pleasant tactile feel. The reverse side is finished with a matte dispersion varnish, which increases the durability of the paperboard packaging while maintaining a high-quality appearance.
In addition, gold hot stamping was applied to selected graphic elements and to the brand logo. The metallic accents stand out clearly against the dark background and reinforce the luxurious look of the packaging.
The combination of multi-colour printing, coating and hot stamping results in premium packaging that meets the highest visual and tactile requirements.
Packaging construction with custom inserts
Inside the packaging, die-cut inserts ensure a precise fit for the cosmetic products. This keeps the products securely positioned during transport and storage and allows a clear presentation when the box is opened. The construction combines product protection with high-quality presentation, which is particularly important for gift packaging and premium cosmetic packaging.
At the same time, the refined gift packaging becomes part of the brand experience. When opening the box, the user is introduced to the brand world, which enhances the perceived value of the product.
