Forwarding and sustainability are not a contradiction
Sustainable logistics are shaped by many well-considered decisions in day-to-day operations. That is why we continuously work to make our deliveries as efficient and environmentally friendly as possible.
We do not look at individual vehicles alone, but at the entire transport process: from route planning and the reduction of empty runs to the use of modern drive technologies.
Our measures for more sustainable logistics
- Instead of returning with empty trucks after deliveries, we collect raw materials, auxiliary materials and traded goods from our partners. This allows us to make better use of existing routes and avoid unnecessary empty runs.
- For longer distances, our logistics partner Camion Transport uses rail transport. Electric and hydrogen-powered trucks are also already in operation for distribution.
- Since 2025, our first fully electric truck, a Mercedes-Benz eActros, has been complementing our vehicle fleet in Winterthur. It is used on defined routes and helps us further reduce CO₂ emissions in transport logistics.
- The trucks in our fleet meet the latest Euro 6 engine management requirements. This means we rely on modern vehicle technology and reduce pollutant emissions in daily operation.
- Our drivers attend annual training courses, including training in sustainable driving. These courses focus on reducing pollutant emissions and further lowering fuel consumption.
- We deliberately send small quantities by post. This allows us to use our own truck resources specifically for larger transport volumes and make our logistics more efficient overall.
