SBTi for sustainable packaging
Sustainable packaging requires clear goals. That is why we align with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), an internationally recognised framework for science-based climate targets. This gives our commitment to more climate-friendly packaging solutions a clear direction: measurable, transparent and effective.
For us, sustainability means more than implementing individual measures. Instead, we look at the entire lifecycle of our packaging solutions. We also analyse our carbon footprint across the whole value chain. Particular attention is given to our supply chain, as this is where a large share of emissions is generated.
Was bedeutet SBTi?
The Science Based Targets Initiative helps companies define science-based climate targets in line with the Paris Agreement. The goal is clear: limiting global warming to 1.5 °C.
Our next steps are clearly defined:
- Defining a cross-site emissions reduction pathway in line with SBTi
- Implementing targeted CO₂ reduction measures across the entire value chain
- Building transparent data foundations for measurable reporting and management
- Investing in modern technologies and more efficient production processes
- Further developing sustainable materials and climate-friendly packaging solutions
- Optimising logistics and material separation
- Strengthening a holistic supplier management approach
At the same time, we know that climate protection can only succeed through collaboration. That is why we work closely with employees, customers and partners to continuously improve sustainable packaging solutions step by step.
Because our journey continues — with clear climate targets and a strong commitment to taking responsibility.
